Newish Route -Begin at the Morro Bay Embarcadero, and make our way north towards  Cambria with a few little out and back down creek side roads (Torro, Cayucos, Santa Rosa, San Simeon)  then continue north  to Ragged Point before the usual northwest wind kicks up.  This year the return is nice and simple, just head back down Hwy1 to  the Morro Bay Embarcadero. The 100k route  shares the first 7km and most of the Hwy1 portion of the  200k route except it turns around just north of San Simeon to return directly back to Morro Bay via highway 1.

Jan 5             120k High Mountain  (RUSA Planned )- Sunday
Begin at Morro Bay Embarcadero and inland through SLO out to one of the charming valleys east of SLO, up Hi Mountain Rd (no actual mountain) before heading back to Morro Bay to the finish at the Embarcadero.

Feb 15              300k Morro Bay Los Alamos (ACP)- Saturday

Newish Route –  Similar to the traditional winter 300K where we go south from Morro Bay but this time headed to Los Alamos via Santa Maria.  On the way back we go through Santa Maria, climb up to Lopez Lake Campground before returning through SLO to Morro Bay. The 200k follows the 300k route for the first 93km and which points the rides recombine multiple times with the 200k skipping the Los Alamos and Lopez Lake sections (i.e. climbing)

Feb 16              200k The Bull (ACP)- Sunday
New Route –  We head into SLO before climbing up two valleys that make up the horns of “The Bull”, the first is up Hi Mountain past Lopez Lake, then onwards to the second horn, Huasna.  After that it’s a please journey over to the coast and Avila Beach before going back through SLO, Los Osos and back to Morro Bay.

March 22         300k SLO North County (ACP) – Saturday

March 22         400k SLO North County (ACP) – Saturday/Sunday

The newish 200k  route shares the first 30km with the 300k/400k and intersects at multiple points with the other routes. The 300k & 400k rides share the first 250km.   Head north from SLO over Cuesta Grade Heads up to the northern part of SLO county via Cuesta Grade, visiting many of the small towns to the east (Pozo, Creston, Shandon) before winding through the wine country west of Paso Robles, then out to Cambria on the coast returning through SLO to  see the 5 cities area and Avila Beach before finishing back in  SLO.   The 300k is pretty much the 400k route but goes directly back to Morro Bay via Old Creek and then skips the loop down to the 5 cities and Avila Beach.  The 200k cuts off Pozo and part of the wine country.
